Employment
Individuals seeking employment or existing employees pursuing a promotion are entitled to have their resumes considered without regard to race, sex, religion, national origin, or sexual orientation. Similarly, disabled individuals are also entitled to anti-discrimination protections during the application and promotion process. Despite the existence of Federal and State anti-discrimination provisions, however, employers will all too often discriminatorily deny their applicants and employees a position or a promotion.
In addition to their rights against discrimination, employees of a company have the right to work in a safe and harassment-free environment. Disabled employees are also entitled to reasonable workplace accommodations so that they can effectively perform the functions of their employment. Although employers are mandated to facilitate such a work setting for their employees, they will in many instances fail to do so without excuse. Individuals who have been denied a position discriminatorily, subjected to an unsafe work environment, or harassed in the workplace, are best served by retaining the assistance of an attorney. We represent such Clients throughout Georgia, and we challenge the unfair practices of employers in both Federal and State court. Our objective in Employment matters is to satisfy the immediate needs of our Clients, while simultaneously pursuing their long-range objectives. From the initial consultation through the receipt of a settlement or award, our team is devoted to providing our Clients with the finest legal services available.
