Atlanta personal injury firm The Kalka Law Group recently were able to recover $100,000 on behalf of their client who was injured while driving his motorcycle. In May 2015, their client was thrown from his motorcycle after impacting an automobile driver travelling the opposite direction who failed to yield before making a left turn. The client stuck the vehicle and suffered severe injuries even though he was wearing a helmet, gloves, jacket, Army fatigue pants, and boots.<\/p>\n
The client was rushed to Atlanta Medical Center where he was diagnosed with two separate breaks in his left arm, a left supracondylar humerus fracture and left distal humerus fracture, causing him to stay in the hospital and undergo surgery. Other injuries include an avulsion of the skin, acute myofascial strain, a left pulmonary contusion, and multiple lumbar spine transverse process fractures.<\/p>\n
The Kalka Law Group settled all claims against Allstate Insurance for $100,000 in exchange for a limited liability release so that the victim could pursue further damages. These would include compensatory damages for pain and suffering, special damages and past, present, and future medical expenses.<\/p>\n
Rather than leaving themselves open to a potential trial, Allstate decided to comply and settle.<\/p>\n
