Attorney Broun<\/a>\u00a0of The Kalka Law Group recently won a $100,000 settlement for his client who sustained injuries after she was rear-ended by a negligent driver following too close. The accident took place at approximately 11:00 pm at a stoplight on Memorial Drive. She was stopped at the red light when she was suddenly struck behind. The force of the impact forced her vehicle to come into contact with the car in front of her before coming to a safe stop.<\/p>\n

As a result of the crash, our client noticed pain in her lower back and legs. She went to her physician and was prescribed Ibuprofen for her pain, but when he pain failed to subside, she approached doctors at the Dekalb Medical Center for further treatment. There she was examined and diagnosed with sciatica and lower pain and began a course of physical therapy at the Resurgens spine center. When he pain continued, she met with a neurosurgeon at the Longstreet Clinic who explained that in order to properly heal, she would require a fusion of the L5-S1. On November 30, 2015 she underwent the surgery. Attorney Broun sought and won the maximum policy limits of $100,000 for compensation of medical expenses, pain and suffering for his client.<\/p>\n
