This is Attorney Kalka\u2019s fourth year in a row receiving this award. Additionally, Attorney Kalka was named to Georgia’s Super Lawyers\u00ae as a Rising Star\u2120 in 2006 and again in 2009-2013. About the Super Lawyers\u00ae Organization<\/h3>\n

The Super Lawyers organization provides clients with a list of the most experienced, reputable, and successful attorneys in each state. Only 5% of attorneys are chosen for the Super Lawyers\u00ae list, and only about 2.5% of attorneys are selected for the Super Lawyers\u00ae Rising Stars\u2120 list. This list is for attorneys who are under the age of 40 or who have been in practice for less than 10 years.<\/p>\n

Candidates must go through a rigorous, multi-phase selection process in order to be included in the Super Lawyers list. This involves:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Nomination by peers or members of the Super Lawyers\u00ae in-house research team<\/li>\n
  2. Independent research on the basis of 12 factors<\/li>\n
  3. Evaluation by peers who serve on the Blue Ribbon Panel<\/li>\n
  4. Final selection and announcement of the winners<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Candidates are evaluated on several factors, including years of experience, verdicts and settlements, scholarly writings, legal awards, bar and professional activity, pro bono work, education and employment background, position within the law firm, and other outstanding achievements. Members of the Blue Ribbon Panel will then rate each candidate. Only those who display the highest level of professional achievements, experience, and commitment to ethical standards will be chosen for the Super Lawyers\u00ae list.<\/p>\n
