At The Kalka Law Group, we care extensively for the members of our community, especially for the children of the Greater Metro Atlanta area. We are excited to have the opportunity to be one of a number of co-hosts sponsoring a fundraiser for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

The charity event is called, “The Summer Sizzle” and is taking place on Friday, August 23, 2013 from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. The fundraising event will be held at Summerour Studio, which is located at 409 Bishop Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30318.

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is a not-for-profit organization which relies on the generous financial and volunteer support of our community. All donations made to Children’s directly impact the lives of each family served by Children’s as well as a number of support initiatives such as research, teaching, wellness and charity care. Each and every day lives are saved at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. From appendectomies, to pediatric cancer treatment, to organ transplants, Children’s cares about the children and teens of our community. The mission at Children’s is to make kids better today and healthier tomorrow by bringing hope, happiness and health through the philanthropic support of individual donors, corporations and charitable foundations.

In 2011 alone, Children’s provided over $73 million in unreimbursed care for children who were in need of medical treatment. The organization also invested $149 million in pediatric research, teaching, pediatric services, and child wellness initiatives, all of which could not be possible without the support of their donors. Each year, community groups raise over $2.2 million for Children’s through various fundraising events and activities such as “The Summer Sizzle.”

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is a 501 (c)(3) organization in which gifts may be deducted as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
