On Sunday, January 24, 2016, an accident occurred between a sedan and a charter bus along I-75 in Dooly County, GA. According to the Georgia State Patrol, the sedan was driving north on I-75 at around 12:15am when the driver swerved right, overcompensated to stay in their lane, and ended up hitting the middle guardrail with their car’s right side. The car then drifted back into the middle lane of traffic on the freeway, where the charter bus slammed on their brakes but could not avoid hitting both the sedan and its driver, who had stepped out of the car.

After the bus and car collided, the driver of the car flew a few hundred feet where he was then hit by another unknown vehicle. The bus then drifted off of the east shoulder of the highway, hitting a fence and some trees, ejecting the driver and one passenger. The passenger of the bus was also killed as a result of the accident.
