At our firm, we believe in the power of helping people in our local community. Not only do we practice this belief in our line of work as we represent the rights of injured clients, but we also feel it is important to extend our aid to help others in need of support throughout Atlanta.

The Kalka Law Group has recently chosen to sponsor a nationally recognized non-profit organization, Skyland Trail, that helps adults 18 and over with mental health treatment. Located in Atlanta, the organization has been serving the community since 1989, helping individuals throughout Georgia, the southeast, and even some from across the U.S. and around the world.

What Makes Skyland Trail Unique?

Skyland Trail’s goal is to aid adults in recovering from mental illness in a way that will allow them to live independently and successfully. Since their start, they have assisted over 2,000 individuals and their families in doing just that. Specializing in treating severe depression, bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorders, and other complex situations such as personality disorders and substance abuse, they provide residential care

Their form of treatment integrates various strategies to help their clients with physical and mental wellness, as well as helping them to strengthen their relationships with family and friends. They provide more than psychotherapy and medication management, they have art, music, horticultural classes, family therapy, and pastoral counseling. They’re one of the only programs in the U.S. to combine mental health treatment with medical care to create a holistic approach.
